The Red-eyed Tree Frog is an iconic arboreal amphibian native to Central American rainforests. It is well known for its vivid red eyes and bright green coloration. This nocturnal species rests on leaves during the day and becomes active at night to hunt insects. Eggs are laid on leaves above water, allowing tadpoles to into the water upon hatching.
